The “All-on-4” methodology is one of the world's most famous methods of implantation and prosthetics. With the help of this method, all teeth of one jaw are restored on just 4 implants. This radically changes the entire course of treatment, time and cost.
With this technique, the remaining teeth of the jaw are removed and 4 implants are inserted, and a new, comfortable denture that fully performs the chewing function is fixed on them.
This method allows you to reduce the amount of surgical procedures and avoid complex bone extension operations. Even if the bone tissue has resorbed, it’s not a final verdict. The surgeon will assess the possibility of restoring the bone structure (through bone augmentation). The need for additional surgery and its cost will be evaluated during the initial consultation.
Typically, this method allows for the restoration of 10 to 12 teeth in one jaw using a prosthesis.
This is one of the most common fears among patients. Local anesthesia is sufficient for the implantation procedure, and inserting the implant takes only about 15 minutes—with no discomfort. If the patient prefers “psychological anesthesia” as well, sedation (medication-induced relaxation) can be used.
If the situation is favorable, the dental prosthesis can be fixed onto the implants within 7–10 business days. In other cases, a healing period determined by the doctor may be required. Each case is evaluated individually to find the safest and most convenient method for the patient.
