What is it?

In order to reduce the time of dental implantation as much as possible, single-moment dental implantation is proposed, one of the most advanced methods of treatment, which allows two surgical procedures, tooth removal and implantation, to be performed in just one visit.

Single-moment implantation is a minimally invasive procedure, since most often it does not involve incisions in the gums. With the help of this method, the volume of surgical procedures is reduced, unpleasant postoperative phenomena are avoided, and patients' time is saved.

When is it needed?

This method is an excellent way out in the event of irreparable failure of one or more teeth, suffered dental injuries. The implant is inserted into the area of the newly removed tooth, which minimizes the healing time — permanent dentures are usually fixed after 2 to 3 months. If necessary, a temporary dental crown can be fixed on the dental implant immediately after the procedure, so there is no need to fear an unaesthetic appearance after dental implantation. This is especially true in the case of loss of a tooth in the anterior area of the teeth.

Single-moment dental implantation is recommended for patients who:

Has suffered an injury or lost a tooth in the anterior dental area.

Has severely damaged teeth in the anterior dental area.

Aims to restore damaged teeth as quickly as possible and to shorten the healing period after dental implantation as much as possible.

When is simultaneous implantation not recommended or not?

Simultaneous dental implantation is possible in most cases, but is not recommended or not recommended if:

Around the tooth, the surrounding tissues are damaged.

Inflammation of the tissues of the jaw has arisen.

Insufficient density of the tissues of the jaw.

The condition of the surrounding teeth is critical.

The possibilities of dental implantation for each patient's individual situation will be best assessed by the dental implantologist during dental implantation consultations.

Why is it needed?

Tooth loss is not just an aesthetic problem. With a longer delay, this can also lead to other health-related problems:

Chewing function is affected.

Speech defects, such as snoring, may occur.

The jawbone begins to disappear, so if you decide to have a dental implant later, you may need a bone extension procedure - augmentation.

The surrounding teeth and the natural bite are affected — over time, the nearby teeth begin to change direction, trying to fill the resulting cavity.

A person's psychological well-being deteriorates, self-confidence is formed.

4 simple steps

first step

Tests and consultation

The first step is a CT scan and a consultation with the implant dentist to assess the patient's overall oral health and to listen to the patient's expectations and options.

Second step

Treatment plan

It includes a plan of visits, the course of treatment and the duration of treatment. An estimate of the exact cost of the entire treatment.

third step

Surgical operation

In one visit, the tooth is extracted and the implant is immediately threaded into the root. This is a quick and painless procedure, performed under local anaesthesia (sedation is possible). If necessary, a temporary crown is placed on the implant at the same visit.

Step Four

Prosthetics

After 2 to 3 months, a permanent crown is attached once the implant has bonded.

Frequently asked questions

When is single-moment dental implantation recommended?

Single-moment implantation is an ideal solution when one or several teeth are irreparably damaged, lost due to trauma, or urgently need replacement—especially in the aesthetic (front) zone. This method allows for immediate restoration while significantly reducing the overall healing time after implant placement.

When is single-moment implantation not advisable?

While this approach is suitable in many cases, it may be contraindicated if the surrounding tissues are compromised, inflammation is present in the jawbone, bone density is insufficient, or neighboring teeth are in poor condition.
A detailed clinical evaluation by your implant dentist during a consultation will determine whether this treatment is right for you.

Is the implantation procedure painful?

This is one of the most common concerns among patients. In reality, the procedure is swift—typically taking just 15 minutes—and is performed under local anesthesia, ensuring complete comfort. For those seeking additional peace of mind, conscious sedation is available to enhance relaxation throughout the process.

Will the full tooth be restored immediately after implantation?

Implantation restores the root of the tooth using a titanium implant. The visible part—the crown—is placed once the implant has fully integrated with the bone. This is a separate phase in the restoration process. Full tooth reconstruction consists of two stages: implant placement and prosthetic restoration on the implant.

Can the procedure be performed if there is bone loss?

Bone resorption does not necessarily rule out the possibility of implantation. Your oral surgeon will assess whether bone augmentation can be performed to rebuild the foundation. The need for any additional procedures—as well as the associated costs—will be discussed transparently during your initial consultation.

How should I prepare for the procedure?

Preparation is key—both before and after the surgery. You should be in good overall health, as certain chronic or immune-related conditions may affect healing. If you have ongoing medical issues, it's advisable to consult with your general practitioner beforehand.
Following the procedure, we recommend avoiding intense physical activity for approximately 14 days. In some cases, antibiotics may be prescribed. All post-operative guidelines will be clearly explained by your doctor and dedicated treatment coordinator.

Are dental implants long-lasting?

Yes—when properly cared for, dental implants integrate seamlessly and perform just like natural teeth. They require only standard oral hygiene using a regular toothbrush and toothpaste. However, to ensure lifelong durability, routine professional cleanings and diagnostic check-ups are essential.
