What is it?

Digital dental assessments are an essential part of modern dentistry for both diagnosis and treatment. These are advanced, case-specific, fully digital 3D tests that cause no discomfort, are quick, and provide highly detailed results. They include procedures such as intraoral scanning, 3D jaw CT scans, panoramic X-rays, and periapical radiographs. These tests help detect changes not visible to the naked eye—such as the condition of root canals, jawbone tissue, nerve structures, deep infections, tooth root fractures, and bite alignment. A comprehensive dental examination includes not only the individual tests but also their interpretation and personalized treatment recommendations.

When is it necessary?

A comprehensive dental health examination is recommended when a patient is uncertain about where to start regarding their dental health. This includes cases with longstanding dental issues or when dental health hasn't been checked for over a year. Common situations include:
Missing one or several teeth for an extended period, Worn-out dental bridges, Dental implants placed long ago, Loose teeth, Unpleasant breath, Deep cavities, Broken molars, Root canal treatments done a long time ago, Pain in wisdom or other teeth

Procedure flow

The comprehensive dental examination typically takes only 15 to 30 minutes. It's a short procedure that doesn't require prior preparation, making it convenient to schedule even during a lunch break.

3 simple steps

First step

Initial Dental Assessment

During the first visit, the dental specialist listens to the patient's expectations and complaints, evaluates the current dental condition through an examination, and recommends necessary tests for the specific case.

Second step

Diagnostic Tests

In the same visit, a digital dental assessment is performed using an intraoral scanner. Additional radiological tests, such as 3D computed tomography (CT), panoramic X-rays, or periapical radiographs, may also be conducted.

third step

Evaluation of Results

After completing all necessary tests, the dentist reviews the results either in person or remotely and provides constructive conclusions. Along with the evaluation, treatment recommendations are given. The dentist may also suggest consultations with specific specialists, such as oral surgeons, orthodontists, or prosthodontists.

Pricing

We assess each case individually and adapt to the financial possibilities of the patient. For this purpose, an extremely flexible system of payment for services is applied. Do not delay treatment because of finances, we assure you - together we always find a compromise.

Frequently asked questions

What is dental scanning and when is it used?

Digital dental assessment using an intraoral scanner is one of the most advanced tools in modern dentistry for precise treatment planning. The patient’s teeth are scanned and transferred into a 3D digital model accessible to both the medical team and the patient via a personal login link. This enables smoother communication and allows for remote monitoring of the treatment process.

If I need a filling, what tests and consultations are required?

During your first visit, the specialist will perform necessary tests. The dentist will assess the extent of tooth decay and whether endodontic (root canal) treatment or prosthetics are needed. If no root canal is required, a digital dental scan is sufficient. In simple cases, treatment can begin immediately after the assessment.

I need an implant. What tests do I need?

For implant planning or other surgical procedures, a CT scan is usually performed in addition to a dental scan. The CT scan helps assess jawbone volume, nerve positioning, and the condition of adjacent tooth roots.

I’m planning dental prosthetics. What tests do I need?

Quality prosthetics require a solid foundation. When planning prosthetic treatment, both the teeth and root conditions must be evaluated. Typically, this involves a dental scan and a 3D CT scan.

What is a 3D CT scan and when is it used?

3D computed tomography (CT) is one of the most precise diagnostic tools in dentistry. It’s used for planning extractions, implant placement, sinus lifts, bone grafting, and other surgical procedures. This test allows for detailed assessment of bone quantity and density, nerve pathways, root fractures, and bone damage. The 3D view allows evaluation from multiple angles, and it enables precise planning of implant size, angle, and placement. It is also often used for prosthetic planning to assess root and canal health.

How does a panoramic X-ray differ from 3D CT?

A panoramic X-ray provides only a two-dimensional (flat) image and cannot match the precision of 3D CT. However, it is often used in pediatric cases or for simpler treatments as a more economical option.

Is a CT scan harmful?

We use the most advanced diagnostic methods and top-tier equipment in our clinic, which minimizes radiation exposure. The scan is performed only by qualified professionals, making the procedure completely safe.

Can I take my test results with me?

Yes, upon request, your test results can be saved to a storage device and taken with you.
